What if you could put a chip in a spoon?

I have no idea any more where this came from. I think it was my son during dinner one night when talking about chips and stuff.

What would one do if one could put a chip in a spoon?

Makes for great fun:

  • A spoon that plays a song that you can only hear when it’s in your mouth
  • A spoon that can send your health in the morning when you use it.
  • A spoon that vibrates itself when it senses milk with unmixed chocolate syrup.
  • A spoon that cools soup (via the Pelletier effect) or stays cool for when eating ice cream).
  • A spoon that makes funny comments while you eat – great gag value for kids, especially when it unexpectedly cries out ‘Don’t bite me!’ or ‘Let me out!’ at odd moments when in your mouth.

Just bring tangential…

  1. Yeah — a spoon that vibrated and played a song or spoke only when touched against your teeth, by sending the vibrations through your jaw and skull to your ear — so only you can hear it. I once tried a toy that did that, it creates a very weird sensation as if the voice is coming from inside your head! “Bone conduction” is the term. It’s been used for Scuba.
