Tracing paths in woods nearby

Google EarthI’ve moved to a new neighborhood and there’s a forest nearby. Today, to get a better idea of all the trails, the dog and I wandered every trail we could find. I also has Sports Tracker on to see what a trace of the ramble might reveal.

The resolution of the GPS kept some paths that I walked over more than once from being overlaid, showing two parallel paths.

But, for me, it gives me an idea of all the paths I can walk there.

  1. I have an N95, so it won’t work in the pocket since some genius decided to put the GPS antenna under the keymat which gets further covered when the phone is closed.
When I am trekking (or wandering a city) it’s easier for me to use a BT module. I usually leave it in the outermost pocket of any bag I have (or just my pants/shorts pocket) making sure the antenna (top) is facing out.
I don’t know where the antennas are on other devices, but if you do, always make sure it faces out.
