Watching my nephew’s baseball game yesterday. Swinging thru the US for a conference again.
Playing around
I’ve been playing with a mobile blogging client that posts via Atom. Part of this is exploring different ways to present the posts since the design of the blog is a part of the total experience. Indeed, our group is not into just usability but really into the user experience, of which usability is an integral part. But in the end, we want the experience to be wonderful.
Cute pooch
This pooch is visiting us for the summer. Full of personality, he’s been a delightful addition to the family. Of course, the kids have fun playing, feeding, and walking him.
And our two cats don’t seem to mind much. They are cautious, but don’t really realize that the dog is more afraid of them than they are of him. But, the house is big enough and everyone is behaving.
That’s good. Because when the dog first came over he walked straight to my wife’s favourite plant pot and peed on it. Then, in some twisted tale of domination, he ripped a bit of my daughter’s (the smallest human in the house) comforter. To seal his welcome, he let out a nice fart right in front of my wife. We’ve had cats for so long, that only the humans pass gas noticibly here. Cats are so polite. Or as dogs would say, cats don’t take responsibility for their bodily functions.
For further comparisons between evil world dominating cats and trusty faithful dogs, I highly recommend watching ‘Cats and Dogs’. It’s a howl.
